ProPartnersMD has received our first shipment of the seasonal flu vaccine and we encourage you to take action and get this checked off your to-do list.
The best time to get vaccinated is BEFORE the end of October, but you may still be vaccinated through the month of December and later. Flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. One of the main reasons people who have received a flu shot still become ill, is through exposure during the two weeks after the vaccine that it takes to become fully effective. Don't be that guy. Don't procrastinate.
As always, the traditional flu vaccine (trivalent) covers 3 seasonal flu strains expected to be circulating this year. In 2014, there is also a quadrivalent vaccine, but it hasn't been mass-produced and isn't widely available. The CDC does NOT recommend one vaccine over the other, just that you get a flu shot EVERY year.
At ProPartnersMD, you may schedule an appointment to have a flu shot without seeing the doctor or the shot may be given when you are already here for another reason. We have a limited number of flu shots available so don't delay!
Request your appointment online by clicking Schedule Me Now or calling (913) 451-4776 and set your time to drop by ProPartnersMD. For more information about the seasonal flu vaccine visit the CDC website here.
